Victor Limongelli
Chief Executive Officer
Victor Limongelli is OneSpan’s Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining OneSpan, Victor served as CEO of four software companies, including Guidance Software, Inc., which he helped take public and grow from $9 million in revenue to $130 million in revenue; a private security software company, AccessData Group; and two private SaaS companies, MobileCause, Inc., and BQE Software, Inc. Notably, all four companies achieved impressive performance milestones under his leadership, including most recently sharply improved recurring revenue growth and gross churn rates at BQE Software, and an over 60-point increase in “Rule of 40” metrics within three years at MobileCause. Prior to his four CEO roles, Victor served in various operational roles at Guidance Software, including President, Vice President of Professional Services, and General Counsel, and as General Counsel of a venture-backed technology company. Prior to his corporate roles, Limongelli practiced law for five years at Morgan Lewis, where his practice included mergers and acquisitions and intellectual property licensing. Victor holds an A.B. from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from Columbia University.
Jorge Martell
Chief Financial Officer
Jorge Martell is OneSpan’s Chief Financial Officer. Jorge brings more than 20 years of experience providing financial, strategic, and operational leadership, including M&A strategy and execution, to rapidly growing global private and public companies. He most recently served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at Extreme Reach, Inc., an omnichannel creative logistics company for brand advertising, where he played an integral role in transforming and optimizing the company’s balance sheet and net working capital, and in the execution of the company’s growth strategy through global M&A. Prior to that, Jorge was at Sapient Corporation, a $1.4 billion publicly-listed company, where he led its global revenue organization, execution of its M&A financial strategy, and global treasury organization, prior to its acquisition by Publicis Groupe. Before his role at Sapient, Martell held leadership roles at ABM Industries, Inc., a provider of facilities management solutions, and at KPMG LLP, a public accounting firm, where he audited private and publicly traded companies in the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Martell holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from the Monterrey Institute of Technology.
Lara Mataac
General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer
Lara Mataac is OneSpan’s, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Lara brings nearly two decades of legal and compliance experience, focused on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and mergers and acquisitions for companies in public and private cloud-based technology.
Before joining OneSpan, Lara was General Counsel at Constant Contact, Inc., where she led the legal and compliance team during a period of transformation after the company’s spinout from Endurance International Group (EIG). Before Constant Contact, Lara spent eight years at EIG, most recently as Deputy General Counsel. At EIG, she was the legal lead for the company’s IPO, responsible for public company compliance, corporate governance, M&A, and employment matters. She was instrumental in EIG’s take-private transaction in February 2021. Before EIG, Lara was Corporate Legal Director at Bottomline Technologies. She was also a member of the corporate law department at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP in Boston, Mass., and at Fenwick & West LLP in Mountain View, Calif. Lara holds a BA from Wellesley College and a JD from Stanford University.
Sameer Hajarnis
Senior Vice President and General Manager, Digital Agreements
Sameer Hajarnis is Senior Vice President and General Manager, Digital Agreements. Sameer has more than two decades of experience in enterprise software and SaaS companies leading cross-functional teams, including managing business development, sales, strategic alliances, and customer success to improve the customer product and service experience. Before joining the OneSpan executive team, Sameer served as Vice President of Growth and Transformation, implementing growth and transformation strategies across the organization. Prior to joining OneSpan, Sameer spent 15 years at OpenText in various leadership positions across the organization’s Analytics division, including as Vice President of Professional Services, where he was responsible for scaling the Professional Services team to deliver enterprise analytic solutions to customers globally. Sameer brings a customer-centric mindset and business focus to the product function at OneSpan.
Sameer holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University and an MBA from the Institute of Management and Development & Research in India.
Ashish Jain
Chief Technology Officer
Ashish Jain is OneSpan’s Chief Technology Officer. Widely regarded as one of the top digital identity experts in the industry, Ashish brings over two decades of experience leading product management, engineering, and operations teams at global organizations. He most recently served as Chief Product Officer at Arkose Labs, an enterprise fraud management and account security company where he led the development of the platform to help address consumer fraud and identity challenges for many Fortune 1000 companies. Prior to his role at Arkose Labs, Ashish served as Head of Identity at eBay, where he led the global engineering team to build the identity, risk, and trust platform to support onboarding, authentication, KYC, fraud, and abuse protection for 180+ million eBay customers and third-party developers. Before joining eBay, Ashish was Vice President of Workspace ONE at VMware, where he spearheaded the development and patenting of a solution that integrated identity and mobile device management, one of the core tenets of Zero Trust Security. Ashish received a Bachelor of Engineering degree from BITS, Pilani, India, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business.
Giovanni Verhaeghe
Chief Strategy Officer
Giovanni Verhaeghe is OneSpan’s Chief Strategy Officer. He has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth and business transformation through technology innovation and acquisition. Giovanni has also created several hardware and software solutions in support of OneSpan’s platform strategy, working to maintain a balance between in-house and acquired technology in his role leading corporate strategy and technical operations.
Giovanni has served as OneSpan’s Director of Corporate Strategy and Intellectual Property Rights. Prior to joining OneSpan, Giovanni was IT-Manager at Vinçotte, a company specialized in safety, security and quality control. Giovanni holds a Bachelor of Applied Informatics from Howest (Bruges/Cardiff UK) and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Vlerick Business School.
Michael Lillie
Chief Information Officer
Mike Lillie is OneSpan’s Chief Information Officer. Mike is a highly accomplished executive with nearly 30 years of information technology leadership experience including keeping large-scale, highly complex enterprises agile by readily adopting new technologies, building best-in-class infrastructures, and delivering seamless organizational transitions. Mike most recently served as Global Chief Information Officer at Qlik. Prior to Qlik, he was CIO at Endurance International Group where he led the global information technology team and had responsibility for all infrastructure and technical operations, core data services, enterprise business systems, information security, compliance, and corporate IT services. Prior to Endurance, Mike was Vice President of Information Technology for Nuance Communications, Inc., a publicly-traded leading provider of voice and language solutions for businesses and consumers around the world, where he drove the transformation and automation of business processes.
Mike holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island.
Kelly Smith
Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources
Kelly Smith is SVP of Global Human Resources at OneSpan. Kelly brings more than 25 years of diverse experience in global human resources in public and private companies. At OneSpan, Kelly is responsible for creating strategic direction for the company’s global human resource initiatives, including recruiting, compensation, wellness and benefits, succession planning, training and development, and employee engagement.
Prior to joining OneSpan, Kelly was Vice President of Global HR Business Partnerships at Fuze, now 8x8, a global cloud communications and collaboration software platform, where she led the business partner teams globally. Before Fuze, Kelly was Senior Director, Global HR Business Partner at Endurance International Group, now Newfold Digital, where she partnered with executive leadership to align the best people practices with the global business strategy. Earlier in her career she spent 12 years at Airvana, holding several senior HR roles throughout her tenure and was part of the leadership team that led to the acquisition of Airvana by CommScope, a publicly traded company that provides advanced wired and wireless networks.
Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science from Westfield State University and a certificate in HR Management from Bentley University.
Caroline Vignollet
Senior Vice President of Research & Development
Caroline Vignollet is OneSpan’s Senior Vice President of Research & Development. Caroline has more than 25 years of engineering experience, including both project and product management roles, operations and R&D. Throughout her career, Caroline has demonstrated an ability to influence large organizations to take both a digital and agile mindset.
Prior to OneSpan, Caroline was the Head of the Thales Digital Factory in Canada and in charge of accelerating the company’s digital transformation, focusing on a user centric approach while optimizing the innovation processes. Before Thales, she held various positions at digital security company Gemalto, based first in France and then Canada – and prior to that she spent time in Singapore managing software teams.
In addition to her current role, Caroline mentors women around the world helping them with their professional and personal development. In 2013, she was awarded French Digital Woman of the year by ‘l’Usine Nouvelle’.
