eSignLive Release 11.14: GDPR and Equifax USA
Version 11.14 of eSignLive has recently been deployed to the preview environment where we've ensured that eSignLive complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), in addition of a couple of bug fixes. General Data Protection Regulation
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union. It addresses the export of personal data outside the EU. In a nutshell, GDPR protects user data every step of the way while giving the consumer ultimate control over what happens to it. Equifax USA
Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA) is an authentication method that asks a recipient a set of dynamically generated questions based on information in the recipient's personal credit report. Previously, Equifax USA only allowed two attempts at answering the questions within a 72 hour window regardless of a success or failure. Moving forward, you can allow you recipients to have a third attempt. However, this is an account level configuration. You will need to send your request to our support team ([email protected]).
Bug Fixes
A few bugs have also been fixed in this release. Most notably, we've fixed an issue regarding an account owner giving a recipient the ability to have someone else sign in their stead. Previously, if this recipient was required to upload an attachment and chose to reassign the signing to someone else, the attachment requirement would be dropped for the new recipient. Now, the new recipient will also be required to upload an attachment. Finally, we've fixed the design of the Thank You Dialog box where unwanted blank spaces are removed.
