OneSpan Sign Release 11.37: Self-Serve Account Settings

Duo Liang,

OneSpan Sign version 11.37 was recently deployed to the preview and sandbox environments. In this latest version, we implemented the self-serve service, continuously improved co-browsing session transactions, improved guidance on ID verification, and completed a bunch of bug fixes. For a full list of product updates, check the 11.37 Release Note. Also refer to our Trust Center and find the deployment dates for all our environments.

In this blog, we will start with the newly delivered self-serve service and showcase how account admins can configure BackOffice settings via their sender portal, then walk through other exciting new features in this release. Without further delay, let’s get started!

Self-Serve Account Settings

Previously, most account features, transaction settings, and signing UI customizations can only be configured by our support team via OneSpan Sign BackOffice. However, this is no longer the case after this release. As of release 11.37, admin users can now configure these settings directly from their sender portal.

In order to leverage the feature, you’ll need to contact our Support Team and have the feature turned on at your account. Once it is arranged, senders can access these self-serve settings under Admin > Account Configuration.

Note: If your account has Roles & Permissions feature turned on, only account users with “Account Configuration” permission can access the page. Otherwise, only a “Manager” user can view the page.

Standalone Co-browsing Request

Co-browsing session is a part of the Virtual Room feature, where the transaction sender can simultaneously review documents with signers and guide them through the signing process. When a recipient makes a standalone co-browsing request, the transaction time zone also appears after each “possible callback time”, so that there’s no misunderstandings about when the co-browsing session will take place.

Transaction Status in Evidence Summary

OneSpan Sign Evidence Summary captures and stores all the digital fingerprints that people leave as they go through a signing process. The evidence summary includes the basics information about the transaction, the senders, the documents and the audit events. After version 11.37, now the transaction’s status will also be recorded, which facilitates the transaction owner to manage and track the signing progress.

Allow Duplicate Signers

In a previous blog, we mentioned that OneSpan Sign now supports the ability for multiple signers to share the same email, as long as the first and last names differ. To accommodate those rare cases in which relatives or spouses share the same name and email address, it’s also possible for different signers to have the same first and last name. This option is disabled by default, but it can be enabled by our Support Team or through admin user’s Account Configuration page as introduced in the section above.
